 A culinary trained chef , saucier and chef de garde manger for over 15 years , I have challenged another avenue of my hyper senses , Taste and smell are much alike , very similar.

They can also trigger memories, arcane memeories that we shelf in the hippocampus an area of the temporal lobe of our brain , this is where we index memory. Both smell and taste are keyed senses that can open up these locked files . 

         Many times throughout life we will come across a smell from a spice or flower , or perhaps a fragrance you cant recall but you remember it in the past , a taste of a fruit or a smell of a citrus note , a musky wood odor that may remind you of a place you have visited, or someone you knew, or even more personally , a scent may bring back an emotion the remembrance of a lost loved one.

          My perfumes are created , much like an artist who narrates through a brush on canvas.

I paint a story in my head an idea that creates a platform for a fragrance.

          A cathedral on a starry night. A war party of native indians in a canoe , A temple with a shrine of burning inscense and celestial white flowers. An old wood schooner ship just in from the Fiji islands carrying fruit and flowres native of the areas it ported. An old church with rosewood benches covered in blue mold from aging. The afterlife the passing through to a spirit world , What do these places smell like???
